Social Distanced Hide n seek

May 21, 2020

While scrolling through the endless for you page on tiktok I came across a unique idea that I had to try with my friends. I saw two girls and their family playing hide n seek around the area they lived in. It looked like a blast so I texted my friends and asked if they wanted to try it. Of course, they were just as eager to get out of the house as I was so they were very open to the idea. I explained the game to them from what I saw on the tiktok. We decided to have two people hide, in separate cars of course, so that a single hider would not be alone and it would give the two hiders an opportunity to talk in person, six feet apart, and just catch up with someone. If you have three cars to use, a single hider would have to be used. Once the hiders find their hiding spot, they decide on some sort of clue to send to the seekers. This clue could be an emoji, a few words, or maybe a picture of your location, there are probably more options however these are the types of clues we used. For example, when a friend and I hid at Home Depot, we told the opposing team these clues: apron, meme, house emoji, orange. The seekers can be on the same team or working against each other to get to the spot first. We played with second and third clues if needed, but if you really want to make it hard you could make your seekers only use one clue. My friends and I ended up playing the game for about three hours and even found a new spot to watch the sunset from. If you are capable of playing, I would highly recommend it, we had so much fun.
