Spring break will be taking place March 12 through March 16, and students are gearing up for their much needed vacation. Whether it is a trip to the beach or a staycation at home, students are very eager for a break.
Sophomore Katie Kuhel is going on the fine arts trip to Orlando, Florida. Her plans include going to Disney World, the beach, and playing her viola.
“I am most excited for Disney because I will be in a group with my friends while going around the parks,” Kuhel said. “I have a lot of memories at Disney and I’m excited to go back.”
Senior Kaitlyn Burkamper also has some exciting plans for her week off.
“I am going to San Diego for spring break, and I’m really excited to visit Balboa Park because of the cool art museum and Japanese garden,” Burkamper said.
While spring break is a popular time for students to travel, many students decide to stay in the area for a more relaxing break. Junior Jordan Bayles will be spending her time off watching Netflix, hanging out with friends, and also taking a mini trip to Chicago to see Alvin Ailey, a modern dance company based in New York.
“I am definitely looking forward to not having any time constraints or pressure for a few days, I’m hoping for a super relaxed week,” Bayles said.
Whether students decide to travel or stay home, many can agree that spring break couldn't come sooner.
