Several inches of snow are expected Monday as an impending winter storm races towards the Metro area.
Snow is expected to start on the western edges of the area at about 10 a.m.
The storm is then expected to reach the Quad Cities Metro by noon and fully exit the eastern portion of the area around the 11 o'clock hour Monday evening.
The storm is expected to have a major impact on the area, including the evening rush hour, with reduced visibility, slippery conditions.
