Ashley Bodkin is a senior and first year member of The Growl. Aside from publications, Bodkin is heavily involved in various activities in and outside of school. She is vice president of FCCLA and a member of National Honor Society. Bodkin is also an active volunteer and dance student at the Family Museum, dancing about eight hours each week.
Outside of school, Bodkin enjoys painting and baking. She also spends time with her cats, Sunny and Shadow.
“My cats have different personalities; one is sassy and the other is curious. Both of them like to climb my Christmas tree,” Bodkin said.
Bodkin also listens to lots of music in her free time. She mainly listens to pop artists like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.
“I also like to throw some NSYNC into my playlists to spice it up,” Bodkin said.
Although this has been Bodkin’s first year on the staff, she has made many memories with the rest of the group.
“I joined publications because I thought it would be fun to get to put the yearbook together and write articles, and I’m so glad I joined,” Bodkin said.
All of Bodkin’s articles can be found here.
“My favorite article was the one I wrote about the raccoon that snuck into my art classroom because things like that don’t happen often, and I got to share that unique story with the school,” Bodkin said.
Additionally, Bodkin loves wearing fun socks, cookies and cream ice cream from Whitey’s, and keeps a list of funny words on the notes app on her phone.
