DAVENPORT (Bettendorf Growl) — The Davenport Police Department is monitoring threats posted on social media Tuesday regarding threats towards Davenport North High School.

This comes one day after threats were made towards schools in the Des Moines suburb of Johnston. All schools in Johnston were closed on Tuesday due to the threats.

In both cases, specific individuals; including parents and students, were threatened through text messages.

Police in Sioux City, Iowa were also investigating similar threats made to schools on Tuesday.

The Davenport Police Department is working with various agencies to determine if there is a connection between the threats.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Davenport Police Department at 563-326-6125 or submit an anonymous tip via the CityConnect app.
