The Bulldogs returned on Tuesday for pack the gym night, facing off against the Clinton River Queens. Despite the 4A no.12 ranked Clinton’s rising skill level, the Bulldogs easily cruised to a 3 set sweep.
Standouts for the game come in pairs this time, the first being seniors Caroline Baer and Emma Ostrom, dominating the attack against Clinton. Baer led the team with 13 kills. Right behind her was Ostrom with ten. Both players had over 25 attempts on the night and their efficiency has risen since the beginning of the season.
The next pair of standouts is junior Ally Grothusen and senior Lita Solbrig. The frontline duo combined for seven blocks on the night and caused havoc for the River Queen Offense.
Following the front line, the last standout pair is seniors Abby Fromi and Grace Erpelding. The two combined for 32 assists and set up the attack against Clinton.
The volleyball team looks to continue the 39 league game winning streak against a currently undefeated Davenport North next Tuesday at the opponent's court.
