Graduation is an exciting time of the year. Seniors are announcing where they will be continuing their education and inviting friends to their graduation parties. As graduation season is quickly coming upon us, here are some tips and tricks to surviving graduation parties.
Plan what parties you want to attend. This will also help plan your route and save gas.
Bring friends with you. Avoid being that awkward person who sits in the corner of the party all alone.
Talk to the graduate and congratulate him.
Do not try to eat everything at every party. Chances are that there will be a lot of food at each party, do not feel like you need to have a full plate at every party.
Bring a card or gift to graduates that you know best. Do not feel as you need to spend a lot of money on buying each grad a gift or card.
Sign the memory book with a memory. The graduate will look back on this in a few years and enjoy kind notes.
Underclassmen, pay attention to what the grad has for decorations, food, and the layout of the party. Sooner than later, you will be hosting your own graduation party.
If you can not attend a close friend’s party, congratulate the grad in person. Sending a text is not as personal.
Be happy for the graduates and wish them luck on the new, upcoming chapter in their lives.
