“The activities at last year's Dance Marathon were really fun, and it was very rewarding to be able to meet the kids that we were helping,” Annette Schneider, senior, said.
Bettendorf High School’s annual Dance Marathon is coming up on Thursday, March 2. The event is from 5:30-11 p.m. with the BMS student session from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and the BHS student session from 8-11 p.m. Students need to enter through the main entrance commons doors, but the event will be held in the BHS gym. Admission is $10 at the door or free if you purchased a Dance Marathon T-Shirt in the beginning of February. All proceeds will be combined with the proceeds collected at Saint Ambrose University’s Dance Marathon. The goal is to raise $5,000, and all proceeds will benefit The Children’s Miracle Network.
“I think that everyone should attend Dance Marathon because there is more than just dancing. I really liked Zumba and watching the Sumo Wrestling. Going to Dance Marathon is an easy way to help children in need,” Schneider said.
