Twenty One Pilots hits Quad Cities

MOLINE — Alternative band Twenty One Pilots performed at the iWireless Center on Jan. 29, 2017, on their world tour “Emotional Roadshow.”

Junior Kassidy Holdridge and freshman Katie Kuhel attended their first Twenty One Pilots concert on Sunday.

Holdridge started listening to their music almost three years ago. She first heard their ukulele cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and later heard “Car Radio” on her Pandora station.

Kuhel started listening to their music about two years ago when she was first introduced to the song “House of Gold” at summer camp.

“I related to the words he was saying so well that I decided to do research into their band find their other music,” Holdridge said.

Kuhel’s favorite part of the concert was the opening performance when she got to hear “HeavyDirtySoul”.

Holdridge and Kuhel plan to see another Twenty One Pilots concert in the future.

“I loved being surrounded by people who came there for the same reason,” Kuhel said.
