Beginning of second semester is when activities and events are seldom, but not for junior Jack Stamper and freshman Brooke McGee.
Stamper is involved in RSVP, National Honor Society, track, and cross country. He also participates in state and local student council. McGee is involved in cheerleading, diving, and competition cheer and continues her cheerleading training through Iowa Elite Cheer.
Along with activities, Stamper and McGee continue to keep up on their academics. Stamper’s strategy is to stay organized and work diligently.
“My favorite activity would have to be student council. I enjoy student council because I like the idea of setting up events for other students and the community. I get the chance to talk to all sorts of people and be the bridge between the school and the community. Plus Stuco is great group of people with awesome advisers,” Stamper said.
Stamper and McGee encourage students to get involved, because of all the opportunities it could bring.
“Get involved in everything you can. I have never done diving before, and I tried it for the first time this year, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Try everything you think you might like because it could really make a difference in your high school experience,” McGee said.
