Shaking it up

Protein shakes and smoothies are a great way to start the morning or satisfy your hunger as an after school snack. Here are two recipes you will not be able to say no to.

 

Cinnamon Roll

 

1 cup of almond milk

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 scoop of protein powder

2 cups of crushed ice

 

After adding all the ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth. One moderation you can make is to add peanut butter to make it thicker and more of a smoothie bowl then an actual smoothie.

 

Peanut butter and jelly

 

1/2 cup of milk (recommended almond milk)

1 cup of mixed berries

1 scoop of protein powder (recommended vanilla flavored)

1 1/2 tablespoons of peanut butter


Once all the ingredients are in, blend together until smooth. One moderation you can do this recipe is to add honey and ground flax seeds (you will not taste the ground flax seeds and they have many benefits such as: Omega-3, lignans and fiber).
