“I made three resolutions actually: my first one is to make my junior national cut in swimming, my second is to use social media less and my third is to get all A's for the rest of the year,” Sage Ohlensehlen said.
Ohlensehlen, senior, has made a resolution every year, but normally they are swimming related.
“I made these resolutions because I want to better myself in the pool and academically,” Ohlensehlen said.
Ohlensehlen inspired herself to make one to better her future.
“My resolution is to start preparing more for my future,” Olivia Gasper said.
Gasper, senior, made this resolution because college is fast approaching.
“I was inspired to make this resolution because I am going to college out of state, and I'll be on my own,” Gasper said.
Unlike Gasper, this is Taylor Mitchell’s first time making a resolution.
“My resolution is a pretty general statement that I need to concentrate on the important things and people on my life. Also, I need to leave the things that are not important alone,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell, senior, made these resolutions because this is her last year of high school, and she is getting ready to start college.
“I was inspired to start a New Year’s resolution by my friends and family,” Mitchell said.
