German Club treks to Christkindl Market

The Bettendorf High School German Club will take a trip Saturday, Dec. 10, to the Christkindl Market in downtown Chicago.
With a high of 25 degrees Fahrenheit and a chance of snow showers, the trip will certainly be a chilly one.
A tradition since 1996, the open air market offers food, merchandise, and special performances.
In addition to visiting the market, the club will also stop at the Aurora outlet mall on the way back.
A four year member of German Club, senior Erin Johnson said, “I’m super excited to go back and eat some great German food. I also like visiting the popular sights in Chicago like The Bean.”
