“My personal goal is to project my voice when I am singing,” Katie Byrne said.
Byrne, senior, is looking forward to the first competition of the year because this is her first year in show choir.
“I hope we win our competitions,” Byrne said.
Laurel Braaten wants to make the finals at all of their competitions and improve as a group from last year.
“As for me, I am working to improve my facials as well as make sure everyone on the team feels welcome,” Braaten said.
Braaten’s favorite memory from last year was placing fourth place from the daytime round in Western Dubuque.
“I was incredibly proud of our group,” Braaten said.
Donato Callahan, senior, hopes to make it to the finals at Great River because it is a difficult competition.
“As a team, I hope we become one tightly knit unit that receives the recognition it deserves,” Callahan said.
Callahan encourages other students to join show choir because of the fun and supportive people.
Alex Steele, junior, also recommends other students to join show choir because it is fun and there are a lot of great people to meet.
“Show choir has been a great experience throughout my three years,” Steele said.
