Best Buddies Match Party

Sydney Spranger calls out Bingo numbers while Jack Gilbride and Sam Judge place chips on their cards.

Best Buddies’ first event was held on Oct. 14, when the students were paired with their buddies and played a game of Bingo.

“The Match Party was sports themed, so everyone had a sports related picture on their paper, and they had to find their matching half,” Emily Kidwell said.

Kidwell, junior, is the president of Best Buddies and recommends others to get involved.

“It’s a fun way to get to know the IDD (intellectual/developmental disabilities) students that you would not normally see on a daily basis,” Kidwell said.

Elaina Skeen, senior, enjoyed the Match Party and also recommends others to get involved.

“People should join Best Buddies because you get to meet so many neat people and it is all about inclusion, which is different than a typical high school club,” Skeen said.
