Bettendorf’s theatre department selects fall play and cast

On Monday, Aug 30, auditions for Bettendorf High School’s theatre department’s fall show took place.
The play is “You Can’t Take It With You” and will be performed in October. Actors were required to memorize a one minute monologue and perform it for directors.
Tyler Wilson, a junior said, “Auditions are nerve wracking, but they’re also really fun. Sometimes your monologue will go off without a hitch, but sometimes, nerves can get the best of you.”
Senior Alex Packard said, “The realization hit me that this would be my last play in high school.”
He is hoping to see his name on the callback list when it is posted on Tuesday, Aug 30.
The cast list of the fall play came out yesterday, Aug 31. Rehearsals will begin next week. The show will be performed in October.
