Currently in MAC play, the boys in black and white are 4-0. A pre-season tournament gave the team two hard losses, and, since then, the players and coaches have focused on their game and have put the MAC soccer title in their crosshairs.
Upperclassmen like Tater Seaberg and Jack Dunn have shown strong leadership to the boys and have continually pushed the team to improve.
Leading goal scorer Juan Pablo Jimenez and Seaberg are proving on the stat sheets that Bettendorf is putting numerous goals, and with only one goal allowed in MAC play so far the defense has proved their strength.
Last Friday, the Bulldogs downed the Pleasant Valley squad 4-0. With goals from Adam Wellman, Matthew Perk, Ryan Buckley, and Justin Wehr, the boys dominated a majority of the match and with the help of senior goalie Jacob Wehr kept a clean sheet.
Upcoming matchups include Davenport West and Iowa City Regina. The boys have an undefeated record in MAC play and hope to keep it that way, and plan to run through the MAC and straight to state.
